Poland’s state-owned airline, LOT, was holding talks with Boeing on Friday over the grounding of the 787, with voices in Polish politics calling increasingly for Boeing to pay compensation for the 787 problems. The polish government has stated that LOT is losing $50,000 a day as a result of the grounding of its two 787s. This is significant because LOT is not in the best of health at this time with large debts making the 787 grounding a political problem.
