LOT requires less state help than expected

LOT Polish Airlines has stated that it will need a capital increase of PLN127 million from the government, substantially less than PLN 381 million offered in the second tranche of state aid. It will also not need to access the funds until 16 months later indicated in its original restructuring plan. LOT has earned positive net profits on its core operations this year, and it expects to have gained PLN 70 million over the whole of 2014.
