Kenya Airways has responded to calls within the Kenyan government to suspend flights to West Africa over the Ebola outbreak, by instigating a series of risk assessments in advance of a decision on suspension.The government’s call for suspension of flights came after the World Health Organization’s recent announcement declaring Kenya a high risk country because of its continuation of flights to West Africa.WHO has added Kenya to the Level 2 countries on their list for Ebola risk, with the directly-affected countries (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria) on a Level 1 alert.
