Jetstar Hong Kong’s network may be expanded to the Chinese mainland within three years, according to its owners China Eastern Airlines and Qantas Group. Ma Xulun, China Eastern president, said to China Daily: “We are eyeing the mainland market within three years, around the point at which we expect Jetstar Hong Kong to become profitable.” Jetstar Hong Kong is poised to launch by January once it obtains an operating license from Hong Kong’s airlines regulatory body.
