Jetstar Japan cleared for take-off

Jetstar Japan has received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The airline, owns by Qantas, Japan Airlines and Mitsubishi Corp, is now approved to begin domestic commercial services July 3 from Tokyo Narita airport

“This approval means we’re on track to start flying five months ahead of schedule, making it easier for people in Tokyo, Okinawa, Osaka, Sapporo and Fukuoka to connect,” said CEO Miyuki Suzuki in a statement.

“The Air Operator’s Certificate signifies approval of Jetstar’s operating policies and procedures to deliver domestic flights in Japan. It includes the airline’s approach to cabin services, ground operations, engineering, safety and customer service,” the carrier said.
