INDIGO TO START INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo has received permission to start flights to Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai and Muscat in August when it completes five years of operation.

The airline, which has jumped from the number four slot (by market share) to second position in the last two months, is likely to fly international just in time to mark its fifth birthday.

From a shortlist of 15 destinations, IndiGo will start international operations to just four areas in its summer schedule. More destinations are expected to be approved in time for the airline’s winter schedule.

The airline said the schedules and launch dates of the flights would be announced in the coming months.
