New Indian startup Air One is seeking $2bn-worth of aircraft to equip its fleet. CEO Alok Sharma told Indian media that the airline is looking at acquiring either A320s or B737s, with an initial requirement for around 20 aircraft.Sharma said: “You can’t start with one plane and wait for another six months to get the next one. The launch will be decided by availability of aircraft in a contiguous manner.”
