Bahrain’s state airline, Gulf Air, has confirmed that its Facebook page has been hacked for “political purposes”. No further details were disclosed. It has been reported on social media sites that Gulf Air’s logo was replaced by an image of Abdulhadi al-Khawaja, the Bahraini human rights activist who has been on a hunger strike in prison for eight weeks. Bahrain’s Internet crime division is investigating the incident.
