Garuda Indonesia president director Emirsyah Satar has stated that he is ready to step down from the post.Satar said: “I have met with the company’s major shareholders [the government] saying that my tenure is going to end soon. I want my successor to be someone who understands the problems in Garuda.”Satar added: “It would be better if my successor was someone who works in Garuda so that he or she will understand the problems in the airline and knows how to resolve them.
