FRA reports strong February

Passenger numbers at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) continued to advance in February 2015: Germany’s largest aviation hub welcomed some 3.8 million passengers, representing an increase of 4.6% year -on-year. Passenger growth was largely attributable to increased domestic traffic and a rise in demand for tourist destinations in Europe and North Africa – as well as the non-recurrence of strikes which negatively impacted FRA’s traffic volumes in February 2014. Cargo throughput (airfreight + airmail) also grew in the reporting month, climbing by 1.8% to 162,068 metric tons.
