FlyDubai to expand in India

Flydubai is planning to add three more Indian destinations – Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Delhi from next month, doubling the number of its destinations in India to six from the 1st June. Flydubai is trying to fill the vacuum created by the cutting back of India/Dubai services because of the Dubai International Airport runway resurfacing.

The announcement of the new flights comes in the wake of India signing a bilateral air services agreement with Dubai recently, which increased the number of flights that airlines from each country can operate on a weekly basis.

Jet, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India are operating with depleted seat capacity while FlyDubai has an obvious advantage.
