Finally Fastjet decides to move HQ to Africa!

Fastjet is to raise funds to fight falling passenger numbers and negative cashflow. The airline needs to raise funds to provide working capital and also to effect the necessary changes to its operations, that will allow it to reduce costs and to “pursue revenue generating initiatives to grow the business”. The latter will include a full fleet review and the relocation of the head offices to Africa, the head office being in the UK has always held Fastjet back in talks for access to countries in the recent past. The fund raising is expected to start in July 2016 ahead of the arrival of new chief executive, Nico Bezuidenhout, who will join in August.
