Fastjet negotiates for 1Time

Fastjet senior managers are meeting with the liquidator of South Africa’s 1Time in a bid to re-launch the airline.

“Fastjet has an option with the 1Time liquidator to acquire what is left of the business, subject to a number of conditions,” the London listed airline said in a statement.

With £15 million in secured funding, Fastjet intends to expand its brand in Africa over the next 12 months, which includes allowing Tanzanian airline Fly540 Tanzania to operate daily services from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to Johannesburg.
