Etihad eyes 30% stake in Aer Lingus

Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, James Hogan, has indicated that the carrier would be very interested in buying Ryanair’s 30% stake in Aer Lingus. Etihad already owns nearly 3% in Aer Lingus.

Hogan said that “Dublin is a strong, profitable route for us and we’re very keen to strengthen our partnership there.”

Etihad has also made its interest known in buying the Irish government’s 25% stake in Aer Lingus.
