James Hogan, chief executive of Etihad Airways has stated the airline will report positive EBITAR for 2010. This is the first time the airline has posted a positive result since its inception. It had been aiming to break even in 2011, with profitability from 2012. Hogan lauded the announcement as “an important milestone in the commercial development of the airline.” Even despite heavy investment in routes, fleet and infrastructure, all indicators show the airline was on target to achieve its goal of profitability in 2013, said Hogan.
