The first of the five B777-200LRs Ethiopian Airlines ordered arrived in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on Saturday 10:05 PM local time. The aircraft came with passengers from Seattle and Washington DC. Ethiopian CEO, Girma Wake, who travelled to Seattle to pickup his new jet returned home with the same aircraft. It is Boeing’s 900th delivery and the first to Ethiopian. The national flag carrier operates B767,757, and 737. Ethiopian is the first African carrier to acquire the B777-200LR. The airline will receive the second in mid December and the third in January.
