Ethiopian increases pilot salaries

The management of Ethiopian has recently approved 100-180% salary increments for its pilots effective this month. The highest increment goes to the airlines B737 cockpit crew, which have been in negotiations with management for the past two months. The pilots were complaining about the difference between their salaries and those of the foreign pilots hired by the company on a contractual basis to fulfil demand. The pilots were demanding a 300% raise. Ethiopian has more than 300 pilots, most of them are Boeing crew and 45 of them are foreigners from Africa, Europe and South America.
