Commission Finance Minister Tonio Fenech has declared that a final decision to approve Air Malta’s restructuring plan will be likely by December. The restructuring plan was presented to the omission last May. If the plan is not approved in December the airline will be required to hand back a loan of €52 million the EC gave Air Malta to help it stay afloat. However, the plan is widely expected to be approved.
