easyJet enters the FTSE 100

UK low-cost airline easyJet has entered into the FTSE-100, the UK’s benchmark of 100 leading companies.

Bloomberg estimates the airline has doubled its value to £4.03 billion ($6.1 billion) in the past 12 months. easyJet, which operates a 214 Airbus fleet and carries more than 59 million people annually, credits the increase to its success in attracting more business passengers.
Shares of the carrier reached a record high on February 20 and closed at 1,017 pence in London yesterday.
