Low cost airline Easyjet is introducing a fifth A320 aircraft at Edinburgh Airport. The carrier also plans to replace one of its four existing aircraft with an 180-seat A320 – the largest in its fleet. The move will add 300,000 seats capacity to the airport and create 60 new jobs. With this move and the recent expansion of its Gatwick to Aberdeen route, EasyJet’s capacity to and from Scotland will increase by 9% this year.
