Delta prevented from using trademark

Delta has been advised by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that it cannot trademark the phrase “The World’s Most Trusted Airline.” The USPTO ruled that the phrase “most trusted”, is “not inherently distinctive, but rather is merely laudatory and descriptive.” Delta has also applied to trademark the term “Official Airline of Champions.”
