Delta Air Lines is investing more than $1.4 billion at LaGuardia and JFK Airports to position itself as the main New York carrier. The airline is building a $160 million renovation at LaGuardia Airport that include a new connector between Terminals C and D. Delta also swapped takeoff and landing rights in December with US Airways, allowing it to add more than 100 daily flights. In addition, the carrier is investing about $1.2 billion at JFK Airport to tear down Terminal 3, the old Pan American terminal, and expand into a renovated Terminal 4.
