The Czech government yesterday agreed the sale of 44% of the national air carrier CSA to Korean Air for Kc67.5m. A contract is to be signed on April 9, 2013. Korean Air has in effect saved CSA and in the process underpinned Prague Airport’s future. The best thing about this deal is that the Czech state can now stop meddling and let the professionals run the airline CSA now operates 28 aircraft, a shadow of its former self but now it has a future which is more than it had this time yesterday.
