On October 17, Cobalt Air announced that it was grounding all flights due to the “indefinite suspension of Cobalt’s operations”. Passengers were instructed to stay home by the airline and to contact travel agents for refunds. When it ceased operations reports state that the company only had €15 million left in its bank account.  The company employed 200 people and owned two A319s and four A30s.
