Air France-KLM-owned airline CityJet is planning to launch extra services between Edinburgh and London City airport. CityJet is also planning a new route from Aberdeen and more flights from Dundee. The move is part of a strategy to lure passengers away from British Airways, although this will not be easy as currently two-thirds of passengers on the Edinburgh-London City route are carried by the UK flag carrier.
