Danish budget airline Cimber Sterling has announced that its operating losses in its fiscal second quarter 2010/2011 shrank to Dkr2.2 million from Dkr41.5 million in the same quarter a year earlier. The results nearly wipe out its operating loss in the second quarter on the back of strong passenger growth and reduced unit costs.

The airline its outlook from July for sales in the current year of around Dkr2.0 billion ($359.9 million) and an operating loss of around 20 million to Dkr80 million before special items. Revenue rose to Dkr547 million crowns from Dkr423 million.
