CHINA EASTERN POSTS STRONG PASSENGER NUMBERS

China Eastern Airlines passenger numbers rose 62.62% over the 12 months to September 2010. The airline carried 81.93 million passengers, with cargo and mail turnover up 49.7% to 3.68 million tons in the same period. Load factors were also up in September and 8.87 percentage points year-on-year to 78.9%, while the comprehensive load factor increased 6.25 percent year-on-year to 71.72% in the same period.
