Cambodia Airlines rumoured to have abandoned startup plans

Cambodia Airlines majority shareholder, the Royal Group of Cambodia, has rejected reports that all plans for the airline startup have been dropped. Royal Group CFO Mark Hanna said: “It’s definitely not abandoned. We’re going through the process of getting AOC approval.” However, Keo Sivorn, the director general of the Cambodian State Secretariat for Civil Aviation (SSCA) as stated that neither firm involved in the Cambodia Airlines project had initiated the startup’s certification process.
