Cameroon Airlines (Camair) has posted loses of over CAF 34 billion (approx. US$60 million) between 2012-2014. Figure released in the airline’s recovery plan show losses were CAF13 billion in 2012, a little more than CFA4 billion in 2013 and CFA 17 billion in 2014. These figures are reported to have worsened in 2015 and are expected to do so for 2016. The airline has been hit by high fuel costs during that time as well as very high operating costs exceeding revenues.
