The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has delayed review of California Pacific Airlines its latest application to fly until 2014 due mainly to delays caused by the shutdown of the federal government. The airline has been forced to furlough all employees and suspended operations until it receives FAA approval. The airline plans to provide commercial service to such regional destinations as San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Cabo San Luca, using a 72-seat Embraer regional jet.
