State-owned Air India has inked a code sharing pact with UK airline BMI (British Midland International). The agreement is set to be rolled out this month, say Air India sources. The troubled Indian airline claims the move with bring it “synergetic benefits” and provide a greater foothold in the European markets. Although the airline has stated it is considering similar deals with ten other carriers, none of these are with US companies.
