Avianca TACA halts five nonstop flights to Costa Rica. This has led to the loss of 261 employees. Flights between San José and Los Angeles, New York, Havana, Quito and Guayaquil have all been eliminated although the company intends to increase its number of daily flights and keep ticket prices flat.
