Colombian flagship airline Avianca-TACA and Panama airline Copa Holdings SA (CPA) is to join Star Alliance. The alliance hopes the new members will add much needed Latin American routes to the network. Avianca signed a code-sharing agreement with Lufthansa earlier this month.
