Bob Jordan, executive vice president of Southwest Airlines has suggested that Atlanta could become the airline’s top city following its purchase of AirTran Airways. Although Southwest doesn’t yet fly to Atlanta, AirTran has 200 daily flights. Jordan says that Southwest would augment AirTran’s Atlanta service with flights to 20 or more cities where AirTran doesn’t fly.
