All Nippon Airways will become the first airline to operate the B787-9 in revenue-earning service. ANA stated that after taking delivery at Boeing’s Everett factory on 27th July, the aircraft will be flown to Tokyo, arriving on 29th July. The aircraft will initially be deployed on domestic routes, although the carrier did not provide details of specific destinations. ANA’s 787-9s are equipped with 395 seats, of which 18 are in business class and 377 in economy. Its 787-8s have just 335 seats.
