All Nippon Airways is reported to be considering acquiring an equity stake in Philippine Airlines (PAL), according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Shinya Katanozaka, chief executive of ANA Holdings, said that the carrier is seeking to bolster its hold on Asian traffic through joint venture agreements and equity stakes and has approached a “number of Asian airlines”.
