American Eagle Airlines has announced a nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield. The airline, which will begin the service from April 2011, will use a 50-seat ERJ-145 on the route. “We’re delighted to introduce this new service to the Illinois state capital,” said Dan Garton, President and CEO of American Eagle. “These two daily flights will not only allow business travellers from Springfield to make an easy day trip to Dallas/Fort Worth, but will link Central Illinois with American’s largest hub, offering convenient connections throughout American’s global network.”
