American Airlines highlights 757 gap

At the Phoenix International Aviation Symposium, American Airlines VP-network planning Charles Schubert said that there was currently no direct replacement for the 757. He said that the A330neo was the “more logical replacement for the 767” although the longer-range A321 suggested by fellow panelist Airbus Americas CEO North America Barry Eccleston was “interesting” as a 757 replacement. “There are some other things being talked about, but I don’t see these happening in the near term,” Schubert said. “At American, we have a few years left to address this and I expect we will be flying the 757 transatlantic for a
