Alitalia yesterday said its net losses widened to €294m ($396m) in the first half of the year, from a loss of €201m over the same period in 2012. This news came as the board voted to increase the capital base of the airline by €100m with Air France-KLM board members understandably voting against the proposal. The airline has reduced its debt to €946m from €1.023bn
