Alaska Airlines’ traffic increased 15.8% in January 2011, with the number of revenue passenger miles rising to 1.7 billion from 1.47 billion in January 2010. The airline’s available seat miles rose 12.4% last month to 2.13 billion from 1.9 billion a year earlier. Last month, the number of revenue passengers rose 11 percent to 1.3 million from 1.18 million in January 2010. Load factors increased to 80% from 77.7% a year earlier.
