Alaska Airlines has applied to the US Department of Transportation and the Mexico Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC) for approval to launch a nonstop service between Seattle and Cancun, Mexico. If received, flights will begin fromNovember 6. “As Seattle’s leading airline, we’re committed to offering the most nonstop service to the popular destinations our customers want to explore, including leisure hotspots like Cancun,” said Joe Sprague, vice president of marketing. “Customers taking Alaska Airlines’ flight to Cancun will enjoy our award-winning service and low fares.” When approved, the Seattle-Cancun route will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft.
