AIR New Zealand has stated that it expects normalised earnings before tax for 2013 to be at the upper end of the $NZ235 million to $NZ260m ($197m to $218m) range it announced in April. That would dwarf the previous year’s $NZ91m figure. “The company has continued to perform soundly in stable market conditions,” Air New Zealand said. Meanwhile, Air New Zealand has reached a settlement with New Zealand’s competition regulator, the Commerce Commission, over proceedings alleging an agreement between a number of airlines in relation to fuel and security surcharges for air cargo. The settlement is subject to court approval
