AirNZ expects earnings to be at high end of forecasts

AIR New Zealand has stated that it expects normalised earnings before tax for 2013 to be at the upper end of the $NZ235 million to $NZ260m ($197m to $218m) range it announced in April.
That would dwarf the previous year’s $NZ91m figure.
“The company has continued to perform soundly in stable market conditions,” Air New Zealand said.
Meanwhile, Air New Zealand has reached a settlement with New Zealand’s competition regulator, the Commerce Commission, over proceedings alleging an agreement between a number of airlines in relation to fuel and security surcharges for air cargo.
The settlement is subject to court approval and a decision is expected within a few weeks.
