Air India prepares to fly its 787s

Air India says it will resume flights with its six 787 in May after Boeing has conducted the final certification flight for a new battery system on 5 April, clearing a FAA test. After that “uneventful” flight, Boeing will now file documents to obtain clearances to restart 787 flights.

Air India officials said the return of the Dreamliners will help the airline during the peak May-to-August season and will be re-introduced in sectors, including Delhi-Dubai, Delhi-Frankfurt, Delhi-Paris and will induct on Delhi-London route.
