Air France-KLM mulls low-cost start-up

Chief Executive of Air France-KLM Jean-Cyril Spinetta indicated in a recent newspaper article that the airline group was considering a low-cost Air France airline under the umbrella brand of KLM’s existing low-cost Transavia.
Transavia is currently blocked from serving destinations in France due to action by French pilot unions.
Air France-KLM is focusing on traffic to China for its long-haul operations and is considering co-operating with Etihad.
