CIn a letter reproduced by Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero, CFO Philippe Calavia states that Alitalia had not provided Air France any written information either about the company’s industrial or financing plans, before or after key recent board and shareholder meetings. Calavia states that what information there was had been given “orally and in a cryptic way” and that Air France representatives on Alitalia’s board were only alerted of the October 14 board meeting hours before it started, preventing them from attending in person. Alitalia and Air France have not commented on the letter.
