AIR CANADA TO APPEAL $2 MILLION COURT COSTS IN PORTER AIRLINES DISPUTE

Air Canada plans to appeal the decision of a federal court to pay $2million in court costs following its dispute with Porter Airlines over tarmac clots at Island Airport. Last summer Air Canada filed a judicial review to challenge and increase the 30 tarmac clots it was granted to fly out of the Island Airport by the port authority. However the court dismissed the claim and order it to pay costs for both the authority and Porter Airlines.
