Air Berlin to halt operations on October 28

Air Berlin will officially end operations by the end of October 28. The airline’s staff are reported to have been told to start seeking jobs elsewhere since many will not be kept by the potential buyers – Lufthansa and EasyJet remain in negotiations. Most of Air Berlin’s long-haul flights have been cancelled already.
