Aeroflot Announces 1Q 2014 RAS Results

Aeroflot has announced the financial results of JSC Aeroflot for the three months ended 31 March 2014 in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards. JSC Aeroflot’s revenue for 1Q 2014 increased to RUB 46,103 million, up 14.4% from RUB 40,315 in 1Q 2013.  This increase was primarily due to a significant increase in revenue from passengers carried (+18.4%) due to the increase in traffic in the first three months of 2014, as well as to changes in the exchange rate of the rouble against foreign currencies in light of Aeroflot’s significant volume of traffic on international routes.
