Southend Airport has announced five-year deal with Aer Arann that will create a number of routes between Southend and Ireland. The deal is still being finalised but the airline hopes to carry 300,000 passengers on the service in Southend. Airport managing director Alistair said although Southend Airport is never going to compete with other UK airports in terms of facilities, they offer a great value service. “We want to make sure the service we give is really good and people like Aer Arann and other airlines recognise what is missing, perhaps, in the market is good value but good service,”
