Rodney James, managing director of low cost airline 1Time, has reported that December was a busy month for his airline, with bookings 4% over the same period in 2009. Demand was driven by the holiday season and is expected to remain high this week as families return home. James also stated that demand was high on its new route between Johannesburg and Maputo as well as the “golden Triangle” routes between Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. “We expected this to be mainly a business route but there is heavy two-way demand from leisure travellers from both South Africa and Mozambique,”
